You don’t have to be a brand on Oprah to attract an avalanche of customers for your business.
Here’s one woman’s story of how she did it.
True story: How one woman entrepreneur’s brand went from being barely known to 42 million fans and more followers than she ever imagined. And she never appeared on Oprah!
Here’s how she did it and how you can too. It’s inspiring!
Lilou Mace’s dream was to be on the Oprah Show. In just one week after moving to Chicago, French-American aspiring entrepreneur, Lilou Mace was given a ticket to the Oprah Winfrey show in Chicago themed “Dream Jobs”. Lilou says, that experience changed her life. That’s the moment she became more determined to live her dream of hosting her own TV show and inspiring millions. However, she was unknown, with very little income and no formal training in journalism or broadcasting. But that didn’t stop her. A few months later, Lilou started her own cable TV show in Chicago in her tiny living room called “My Juicy Life” with no marketing budget. The show ran for a year.
From there, she moved her TV show to YouTube™, and started interviewing leaders and influencers on Skype posting her recorded interviews weekly. Then with encouragement and support from a brand professional she moved out from behind the Skype camera and created the “Juicy Living Tour” traveling the United States, Europe, Asia and South America interviewing world famous authors, speakers, artists and entrepreneurs. Today, her worldwide web TV show offers everyday wisdom and inspiration. She receives revenue through online donations all over the world.
Lilou turned her passion for sharing spiritual wisdom and insight into a prosperous producing empire by interviewing worldwide inspiring people and leaders, She has over 42 Million views on her YouTube channel, is the author of three books, multiple meditation cd’s and is a sought after speaker at many international events including TedX France.
Her pursuit of aligning her purpose with her brand has made a huge difference in the lives of others. How did Lilou attract more followers worldwide than she ever imagined?
THE ANSWER: She aligned her purpose with her brand and her business and took action even though she felt huge waves of fear and uncertainty!
Getting clear on her purpose, allowing herself to be supported by others and taking action, even while feeling fearful and uncertain, created a powerful connection with her audience. That connection influenced other people to share her message and videos with their friends. And that’s how she attracted over 42 Million views on YouTube.
When her audience grew, her brand presence and revenue grew!
Lilou and I met for the first time in 2010 at a TV audition. I had been following her online for a few months and wanted work with her. I shared with her how developing a clear brand strategy and plan would support her vision of bringing messages of inspiration and growth to the world. I instinctively knew she needed to get out from behind the camera and get in front of audiences as she so brilliantly interviewed her guests. Working together we built an international team of experts and volunteers who helped her catapult her “right” messages, logo, and tour strategy that resonated with her audience. As a result the worldwide “Juicy Living Tour” was born. I am so proud to have been part of her hard work and success.
Lilou is a great example of an entrepreneur who has a purpose and is ready to turn that purpose into a living, breathing BRAND that makes a difference in the lives of others while creating a solid revenue. And that may not have happened if she had not allowed me or anyone to guide her in clearly defining her purpose and aligning it with a brand identity.
By applying the first phase of my “7-Step Brand Development Process” I helped her get clear on her authentic message so she could attract more followers, create more money and live her purpose.
